GILBEYS YARD AND JUNIPER CRESCENT
Built in only 1997, Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent won the Best New Development by a Housing Association in their New Homes Awards on completion. It has human scale buildings and a thriving community which has grown into a unique and rich multicultural hub. Many of the Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent residents have lived here for much of that time, forming a deep bond with the community and raising their families here.
GILBEYS YARD
Gilbeys Yard is the sister estate to Juniper Crescent
A combination of 82 terraced houses and four storey flats, one side of Gilbeys Yard faces the canal, with a warm, sunny terrace. Built on the site of the former gin distillery Gilbeys Gin from which it takes its name, the original granite cobbles of its industrial past have been retained throughout. The whole site is well overlooked by windows, with security built into the site.

JUNIPER CRESCENT
Juniper Crescent is the sister estate to Gilbeys Yard

Situated on the Chalk Farm side of Morrisons, Juniper Crescent is the larger of the two estates with 120 homes. The homes on each estate have similar designs and many connections whilst retaining their own individual identities. Juniper Crescent is built as an enclosure with two entrances, in a crescent facing inwards with its gardens and balconies inside. It was named after the juniper berry which flavoured Gilbeys gin.
